Lockin Veno Solar Auto-Lock Schedule: How Time Windows Work

To use a Lockin Veno Solar auto lock schedule, turn on the main Auto-Lock switch, then enable Schedule and set its active time period in the Lockin Smart App. Schedule limits when automatic locking can operate. Outside that period, do not rely on scheduled auto-lock to secure the door; lock it yourself and confirm the result.

This gives a Veno Solar Palm household a way to use automatic re-locking during selected hours. The shared Veno Solar Palm/Face manual documents the setting for both models and makes the main-switch dependency explicit. See the current Solar user manual, page 6.

What the schedule controls

Three controls have different jobs:

Control What it does What to remember
Auto-Lock main switch Enables or disables auto-lock Schedule cannot take effect while this switch is off.
Countdown Sets the delay for automatic locking after the door closes The manual lists endpoints from “At once” to 30 minutes. Choose an option your app actually shows.
Schedule Restricts auto-lock to selected time periods A time window determines when the feature operates; the manual does not document a separate countdown for each period.

These functions are described in the Solar manual’s Auto-Lock section. The manual does not document separate countdown values for individual windows.

The schedule is not an instruction to unlock the door when a window ends. Its documented job is to limit automatic locking. Do not interpret the end time as a command to retract an already locked deadbolt, or as a guarantee that the door will stay unlocked. Manual locking and any separately configured controls need their own consideration.

If you want automatic re-locking throughout the day, check the main Auto-Lock setting with Schedule off. That follows the distinction between the main feature and its optional time restriction; the manual does not name a separate “All Day” preset. Test the resulting behavior on your lock.

Set up your Lockin Veno Solar auto-lock schedule

  1. Open the Lockin Smart App, go to Devices, and select your Veno Solar Palm. The shared manual gives the same schedule path for Veno Solar Face.
  2. Open Settings → Auto-Lock.
  3. Turn the main Auto-Lock switch on. Enabling Schedule alone is not enough.
  4. Check the countdown already selected. Keep it unchanged while testing the schedule so you can tell which setting caused a difference.
  5. Open Schedule, turn it on, and set the active time period using the controls shown in your app.
  6. Follow any on-screen confirmation, then reopen the setting and check that the intended period remains selected.

The menu path and switch dependency come from the current Solar manual; reopening the setting is a practical check. For help choosing the delay itself, use how to choose a smart lock auto-lock delay that fits your routine.

A weekly household example

Imagine a household considering a 9:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m. active period because people are usually away during those hours on weekdays. These are example hours, not a Lockin recommendation or a claim about available presets.

Part of the week Household plan What to check
Monday–Friday, before 9:00 a.m. Morning departures fall outside the proposed window Whoever leaves locks the door and checks it; the household does not wait for the window to begin.
Monday–Friday, 9:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m. Use scheduled auto-lock during the chosen period Test a fresh door closure comfortably inside the window with the selected countdown.
Monday–Friday, after 5:00 p.m. Evening arrivals fall outside the window Lock and confirm the door after entry; the schedule provides no outside-window automatic re-locking.
Saturday and Sunday People may be home at different times Check whether the app offers the repeat-day controls needed. If it does not, revise the active period or use a simpler setting the household can manage reliably.

The manual documents active periods but does not show weekday selection, the maximum number of windows, or overnight-window controls. Treat this table as a plan to compare with your app, not a Monday–Friday programming tutorial. Never assume a weekday pattern has been saved merely because start and end times are visible.

Test inside, outside, and across the boundary

Test while an authorized adult is present, with a working backup entry method available. Confirm that the door closes normally and the deadbolt moves freely. A schedule cannot close the door or fix binding hardware.

  1. Inside the window: close the door well after the start time, leaving enough time for the full countdown before the end. Confirm that automatic locking occurs.
  2. Outside the window: run a fresh close-and-wait check fully outside the active period. Do not expect scheduled auto-lock. Lock the door yourself afterward and verify it.
  3. Around the start: compare a trial that finishes before the start with a fresh closure just after it. Separately observe what happens if the door was already closed and unlocked when the window began. Do not assume the start time itself will lock it.
  4. Around the end: compare a trial completed before the end with a fresh closure just afterward. If a countdown would cross the end time, check that case separately under supervision. The manual does not say whether an in-progress countdown completes or stops at that boundary.
  5. Record and restore: note the selected hours, countdown, closure time, and result. Restore your intended settings after temporary tests, and finish with the door locked.

Do not build an unattended routine around an untested boundary. If the app’s displayed times or the observed result are unclear, resolve that before relying on the schedule. Recheck after changing the hours or after an app, firmware, or clock change affects the behavior you see.

If the schedule does not behave as expected

Start with the main Auto-Lock switch, then check Schedule, the saved period, and the countdown. Make sure you selected the correct device. A time inside your intended routine may still fall outside what the app actually saved.

If ordinary inside-window locking fails, check door closure and smooth deadbolt movement before changing more timing settings. For missing controls, overnight periods, repeat days, or unexpected boundary behavior, use the Lockin user-manual hub and Lockin FAQ and support resources. Have the model name, app version, firmware version, selected hours, and observed result ready.

For your Lockin Veno Solar auto lock schedule, the useful final check is simple: both switches are on, the active period matches the household’s needs, and everyone knows how the door will be secured outside it. Review the Veno Solar Palm product details if you are still choosing the lock, then use its current manual to set up and test the feature at your own door.
