Veno Solar Face uses 3D structured light to recognize facial depth, so you can unlock without reaching for a key or touching a reader.
- Depth, beyond a flat image
- Structured light helps distinguish a real face from a photo or video. Face recognition is available on Veno Solar Face; Solar Palm and Solar Finger use different biometric readers.
- Recognition after dark
- Infrared fill light supports face recognition in darkness. Keep the recognition window clean and your face unobstructed.
- A comfortable recognition distance
- Stand about 50–70 cm (1.64–2.30 ft) from the lock. At 50 cm, the supported user-height range is approximately 1.2–2.0 m (3.94–6.56 ft). Check the mounting position for everyone who will use it.
- Biometrics stay on your lock
- Facial data is stored locally on the lock. Remote app commands use cloud services; local biometric storage does not mean every connected function operates offline.
Make sure it fits your front door.
Compare your door measurements and latch type with the installation guide before ordering. Heavy facial coverings can affect recognition, so keep another supported access method available.
Solar charging also depends on light at the exterior panel. For Solar Face, charging activates below 90% battery with at least 1,000 lux at the panel. Manual charging may still be needed.
Before you choose
Will glasses or a new hairstyle affect recognition?
Ordinary glasses, light makeup and minor hairstyle changes generally do not affect normal recognition. Heavy coverings or large masks can reduce recognition success. Enroll your face carefully and keep the sensor clean.
Is this a video doorbell or a recording camera?
This page describes Solar Face’s biometric face recognition. Do not treat a face-recognition sensor as a video doorbell or assume it provides video recording. Review the Solar Face product details for the features included with this model.
What if the battery runs out?
Use the backup mechanical key, or temporarily power the exterior Type-C port with a power bank to unlock. Emergency power does not replace recharging the battery. See the model’s user manual for instructions.
