Palm-vein lock/unlock
Turning palm-vein lock/unlock off can make a busy entry less likely to react to repeated palm approaches. It also means palm-vein entry may not be available while that Party Mode setting is disabled. Make sure the household still has an approved alternative, such as a PIN, fingerprint, app control, or mechanical key, and only share access methods with people you authorize.
Motion detection and notifications
Motion detection and notifications are related but not identical. Motion detection determines whether the lock is watching for the configured movement pattern; notifications determine what the app sends you. If your goal is fewer interruptions rather than no event history, review notification choices before disabling detection altogether.
Veno Pro supports local video storage and LockinAI detection for people, packages, and vehicles, but a Party Mode choice can change what is active while that mode is selected. Avoid promising continuous recording or continuous alerts after turning a mode feature off.
What happens after Party Mode?
The safest answer is: check, do not assume. When the event is over:
- Return to Devices > Veno Pro > Settings > Mode Settings.
- Confirm which mode is active.
- Recheck motion detection, notifications, palm-vein lock/unlock, and auto-lock.
- Lock the door and confirm the deadbolt is fully engaged.
- Test one normal household entry method.
- Review the Events log if you need to confirm what was recorded while the mode was active.
The manual mentions automatic mode switching through geofencing, but it does not state that Party Mode automatically reverts after a fixed timer. If you use automatic switching, verify the transition with a real lock, unlock, and alert test rather than relying on the name of the mode.
Party Mode limits to keep in mind
Party Mode does not override the basic requirements of the lock. Veno Pro still needs a correctly installed compatible door, sufficient battery power, and the app or local credentials required for the action you are taking. Network-dependent controls may behave differently from local entry methods if the connection is unavailable.
Also remember that the Veno Pro camera can be blocked by a storm door, and the product page lists a rectangular latch-faceplate requirement.
