A Family Member Cannot See Your Lockin Invitation: Which Account Should They Use?

A Lockin family invitation is tied to the invited email. Learn which Lockin Smart account to use, how to check Home Management, and what not to share.

Use the family member’s own Lockin Smart account—the account registered with the exact email address entered by the household owner. Do not have them sign in with the owner’s account. If they do not have a Lockin Smart account yet, they can create one from the invitation, then sign in with that invited email to accept the request.

This matters for a Lockin Veno Solar Palm household because an invitation adds an authorized person to the household that contains the lock. It is different from adding the lock to a phone, sharing a password, or trying to make two people use one login.

Which account should a family member use for a Lockin invitation?

The invitee should use a separate Lockin Smart account registered to the email address the owner entered under Home Management. The owner starts the invitation from the household where the lock is registered, enters the invitee’s registered email address and name, and taps Invite. The invitee then logs in to Lockin Smart with that invited email address and accepts the request.

If the family member already has a Lockin Smart account under another email, they should not use that different account to look for the invitation. Ask the owner to check which email was entered, then use the matching account. The invitation and the account must point to the same household.

What to check when the invitation is not visible

Work through these checks in order:

  1. Identify the invited email. Ask the owner to confirm the exact email address entered in Lockin Smart. Check spelling, punctuation, and which email account received the message.
  2. Use the matching Lockin Smart login. The family member should open or update Lockin Smart and sign in with that invited email—not the owner’s credentials and not a second account created with a different address.
  3. Check the right household. At the top of Lockin Smart, tap the arrow beside the family name, choose Home Management, and select the household where the Lockin lock is registered.
  4. Accept the request in the app. The invitation is not complete until the invitee logs in with the invited email and accepts the request.
  5. Separate membership from device visibility. If the invite is accepted but the lock still does not appear, check the selected household before assuming that the invitation failed. The family member may be looking at a different household or at a device that was never added to the intended household.

The Veno Solar Palm/Face FAQ describes the same flow: the owner selects the correct household in Home Management, taps Add New Member, enters the invited member’s registered email and name, and sends the invitation. The invitee must then log in with that email to accept it. Read the Lockin FAQ.

What the family member can do after accepting

According to the current Veno Solar Palm/Face FAQ, an accepted household member can perform lock operations in Lockin Smart, including remote unlocking, access management, temporary-password creation, and viewing logs. The FAQ also states that the invited member cannot delete devices from Lockin Smart.

Those permissions are household access—not permission to take over the owner’s account. Keep each person’s login separate, and use the app’s household invitation flow to manage access. If someone only needs short-term entry, consider a supported temporary-password option instead of adding them as a household manager; check the exact lock and current app behavior before relying on it.

What not to do

Do not share the owner’s password

Sharing one login makes it difficult to tell which person is using the account and does not solve an invitation that is tied to a different email. It also conflicts with the documented household-sharing path: invite the person’s own Lockin Smart account through Home Management.

Do not assume a missing device means a missing invitation

An unaccepted invitation, a different selected household, and a lock that was never added to that household are separate problems. Confirm membership first, then check device setup. For model-specific pairing and setup instructions, use the Lockin user manual.

Do not reset the lock just to fix an invitation

The Veno Solar Palm/Face manual warns that resetting the lock can erase stored data. An account invitation should be checked in Lockin Smart and under the correct household first; a factory reset is not a normal invitation step.

A quick owner-and-invitee checklist

Check Owner Family member
Email Confirm the exact invited email Sign in with that same email
Account Send from the household containing the lock Use a separate Lockin Smart account
Household Choose the correct household in Home Management Open the same household after signing in
Completion Send the invitation Accept it in the app
Access Keep account credentials private Do not use the owner’s login

The short answer

If a family member cannot see a Lockin invitation, have them use their own Lockin Smart account registered with the exact invited email, then check the correct household under Home Management and accept the request in the app. Do not share the owner’s password or create a second account under a different email to search for the request.

For the Lockin Veno Solar Palm, review the product details, confirm the household and app setup in the Lockin user manual, and contact Lockin support through the FAQ if the matching account and household checks do not resolve the problem.
