How Many Palm-Vein Users Can a Smart Lock Store? Plan Household Enrollment

Lockin Veno Pro stores up to 50 palm profiles, with a maximum of five per user. To plan household access, count the palm profiles each person will save—not just the people who need entry. For example, six people with two saved profiles each would use 12 of the 50 available palm entries. These limits come from the Veno Pro user manual, version 1.2, dated March 16, 2026.

That gives a household room to plan touchless entry around individual needs. The important boundaries are 50 palm profiles across the lock and no more than five under one user. Other smart locks can have different limits; use the documentation for your exact model.

How many users can a palm-vein smart lock support?

A capacity figure needs a unit. Lockin’s Veno Pro FAQ describes space for 50 palm-vein data entries, while the manual calls them palm profiles and adds the five-per-user limit.

For this worksheet, a palm entry means a saved palm profile. A user is the person that profile belongs to. One person with several saved profiles uses several entries from the total.

Dividing 50 by the number of profiles planned per person can help you budget storage. It does not establish a separate maximum number of named users or app accounts. In particular, “50 palm profiles” should not become “50 people with unlimited palm enrollments.”

Plan for six people Palm entries used Entries left out of 50
One saved profile each 6 44
Two saved profiles each 12 38
Five saved profiles each 30 20

These are planning examples, not a recommendation to give everyone five profiles. Start with the entries people will actually use, then confirm the saved count in the app.

Build a household enrollment budget

Use two checks before adding another entry:

  • Per person: their existing saved profiles plus the proposed addition must stay at five or fewer.
  • Across the lock: everyone’s saved profiles plus planned additions must stay at 50 or fewer.

For an existing Veno Pro, include palm profiles already assigned to the administrator and other household members. Do not assume there is an extra administrator allowance outside the published total.

You can also leave some entries unassigned for future household changes. For example, a six-person plan using 12 profiles could reserve another four, leaving 34 entries unallocated. That four-entry reserve is your planning choice; it is not a Lockin requirement.

Unallocated entries = 50 − saved profiles − planned additions − your optional reserve.

If one person already has five profiles, spare space elsewhere in the lock does not remove that person’s limit. Review that person’s saved entries before trying to add more.

Copy this simple worksheet

Use a name, initials or a household label that you recognize. Keep the list private and record counts only—no palm photos, biometric data, PINs or account passwords are needed.

Household label Saved palm profiles Planned additions Review note
Administrator ___ ___ Keep this user’s total at 5 or fewer
Household member 2 ___ ___ Confirm which entries are still used
Household member 3 ___ ___ Add a row for each additional person
Total ___ ___ Combined total must be 50 or fewer

Below the table, note your optional reserve and the date you last checked the saved list. Update the worksheet after enrollment or removal so it reflects the lock’s actual records.

Enroll, then count the saved profiles

In Lockin Smart, open Veno Pro’s settings and choose Manage Access. Add or select the intended user and follow the palm-enrollment instructions. Adding biometrics requires a Bluetooth connection between the phone and the lock, so plan to enroll at the door. See the current Lockin user manuals for the full setup procedure.

Count the saved profiles after completing that process. Do not count every hand presentation or on-screen capture prompt as another stored entry. The documents do not specify how individual capture prompts map to saved records, or explicitly define the slot treatment of a left-and-right-palm enrollment. Let the resulting saved list guide your worksheet.

For example, if the app shows two saved palm profiles for one person, record two entries. If the saved count is unclear, ask Lockin support before building a larger enrollment plan around an assumption.

When the list is full, review entries before removing them

  1. Check both limits. Determine whether one user has reached five profiles or the lock has reached 50 in total.
  2. Review named users and their saved palms. Look for entries the authorized household member confirms are redundant or no longer needed. A similar-looking label alone is not proof of a duplicate.
  3. Keep a working way in. Before removing an entry, have an authorized alternative available, such as a working PIN or mechanical key.
  4. Remove only the intended palm entry. The Veno Pro troubleshooting FAQ documents deleting a palm-vein entry through Manage Access on page 19. Follow the current app’s confirmation carefully, then check the saved list and update your count.

Do not subtract an entry just because you paused someone’s access. Veno Pro’s Key Freeze retains the user profile, so freezing access is not evidence that you have freed storage. A factory reset is unnecessary for ordinary slot planning and can disrupt the household’s setup.

PIN and fingerprint capacities are listed separately from palm capacity. Deleting a PIN should not be treated as creating another palm slot; this worksheet tracks palms only.

Finish with a plan each household member can use

For Lockin Veno Pro, write down the saved palm entries, check the five-per-user cap, and keep the combined plan within 50. Test the intended access after any enrollment change and keep a supported backup available.

If the app’s saved counts or limits differ from the documented figures, use the Lockin FAQ and support resources before deleting more entries. A clear count helps the whole household plan palm-vein entry without confusing people, profiles and other access methods.
