How Do You Revoke a Guest’s Lockin Smart-Lock Access?

Revoke a Lockin guest PIN, biometric entry, or app permission. Follow the Manage Access path, choose pause or delete, then check connected platforms.

If a guest no longer needs access, revoke the credential in the Lockin Smart App and then check whether that person also has a separate app or smart-home invitation. For Lockin Veno Solar Palm, Lockin documents two relevant controls: pause access permissions for a specific user, or manage/delete a stored password, fingerprint, or palm-vein entry from Device Settings → Manage Access. Use the option that matches how the guest was added.

Start with the access type

“Guest access” can mean more than one thing on a smart lock. Before changing anything, identify the credential you gave the person:

Guest access type What to check first Best removal action
One-time PIN Whether it was used or is still valid Confirm it is no longer active; do not share it again.
Scheduled or recurring PIN The guest’s saved passcode or schedule Delete or disable that passcode in the lock’s access controls.
Fingerprint or palm-vein entry The guest’s enrolled biometric entry Delete that specific entry in Manage Access.
App or shared-home access The guest’s user or invitation Pause or remove that person’s lock permission, then check the connected home platform separately.

The exact labels can vary by Lockin model and app version. Match the procedure to the model shown in your Lockin Smart App and its current user manual.

How do you revoke a guest’s Lockin smart-lock access in the app?

For a Lockin Veno Solar Palm, use this sequence:

  1. Open the Lockin Smart App.
  2. Select the lock from the device list on the home screen.
  3. Open Device Settings.
  4. Choose Manage Access.
  5. Locate the guest’s password, fingerprint, or palm-vein entry.
  6. Choose the available pause, delete, or equivalent access-control action, and follow the on-screen confirmation.
  7. Recheck that the guest’s entry is actually marked deleted or paused and that the app shows the change as synchronized. This confirms the access record was changed; it does not prove the old guest credential is unusable. Separately, with the door open, use an authorized household credential to confirm normal household entry—not the guest’s old code and not as a test of guest revocation.

Lockin’s Veno Solar Palm product information specifically says that access permissions for individual users can be enabled or paused when needed. Its FAQ gives the Device Settings → Manage Access path for managing or deleting stored passwords, fingerprints, or palm-vein data. Because the public instructions do not promise one identical button name for every Lockin model, do not treat a screenshot or label from another model as universal.

Pause access or delete it?

Choose based on whether the guest may need access again:

  • Pause a user when the access is temporary and you may resume it later, such as a cleaner who visits seasonally or a family member who is away.
  • Delete a PIN or biometric entry when the visit is finished, the person is no longer authorized, or you do not want the credential retained in the lock’s access list.
  • For a one-time passcode, check its status and validity rather than assuming that deleting a different user profile will cancel it. The Veno Solar Palm documentation treats one-time, scheduled, and recurring passcodes as distinct access types.

If the app cannot connect to the lock, do not keep guessing credentials or factory-reset the device just to remove one guest. Restore the app/lock connection, use the current model manual, or contact Lockin support. A factory reset affects the whole device and is not the normal first step for removing one visitor.

Check the second access layer

Removing a credential from the Lockin lock is not necessarily the same as removing a person from Apple Home, Alexa, Google Home, SmartThings, or another connected home. Veno Solar Palm supports smart-home connections, but Lockin notes that platform features vary and that the Lockin Smart App remains the main place for full lock setup, settings, and management.

After revoking the Lockin credential:

  1. Open the connected platform’s home or accessory-member settings.
  2. Check whether the guest is still listed as a resident, member, guest, or person with remote-control permission.
  3. Remove or downgrade that platform permission if the guest should no longer control the lock through the platform.
  4. Review any scene, shortcut, or automation that includes the guest or the lock.
  5. Check the Lockin activity log for unexpected access after the change.

Do not assume that an Apple Home guest role, a Lockin Smart App user, and a PIN are interchangeable. They are separate permissions unless the current model and platform documentation says otherwise.

What if the guest knows the old PIN?

If the old PIN was a dedicated guest code, delete or disable that code and create a new credential only if the guest still needs access. If the guest was given a shared household PIN, change the shared PIN and update authorized household members instead of trying to track who may remember it.

Avoid posting an active PIN in a group chat or leaving it in a property handoff note. For future visits, use the narrowest access that fits: a one-time code for one visit, a scheduled or recurring code for a defined routine, or a paused user permission that you can resume when needed.

The short answer

To revoke a guest’s Lockin smart-lock access, open the lock in the Lockin Smart App, go to Device Settings → Manage Access, find the guest’s password or biometric entry, and pause or delete it according to whether the access may return. Then remove any separate app or smart-home permission and verify the result in the activity log. If the labels do not match your model, check the current Lockin user manual before changing other users or resetting the lock.
