The upgrade was prompted by watching my son struggle with our old deadbolt—I figured it was time for something smarter. I chose Veno specifically because it offers both fingerprint and palm scanning. So far, we’ve only used the palm scanner, and it’s been outstanding: lightning-fast, silky smooth, and impressively quiet.

We ran into a minor issue and reached out to support. They responded in under 24 hours and went above and beyond to resolve it. Truly top-tier service—couldn’t be more satisfied.

I had trouble aligning the screw between the exterior unit and the interior plate. When the exterior was flush against the door, the screw wouldn’t catch the thread properly. What worked was pulling the exterior piece slightly away from the door (about half an inch to an inch) and starting the screw from there. Once it caught, I tightened it down, which naturally pulled the exterior unit flush to the door.

I suspect the hole in my door is slightly off-angle, and the tight tolerances of Veno’s precision manufacturing left little room for error. This simple workaround saved me a lot of frustration and might help others dealing with similar misalignments.

Mounting the magnetic strike plate wasn’t possible with our double door setup. So, I 3D printed a riser, attached a small magnet to it, and stuck the assembly just above the deadbolt hole. Worked like a charm.

All in all, this is a truly awesome product. Highly recommended.
